IT’S A LONG STORY...
Here's the short version of how Genna came to be where she is today
Fresh out of college and living in Wyoming, Genna was unhealthy, addicted and depressed. She was looking for inspiration to move her life in a positive direction. She moved to Denver where a friend invited her to a Forrest Yoga class. Being a casual student of her local hot yoga studio, Genna had been sampling other styles of practices but this class was different.
Her shoulders, perpetually tight, were eased. The day in and day out stiffness of her neck was released. Her bound up hips had never felt more open! This practice was special. Genna dove in headfirst and began unwinding the unhealthy patterns that had left her spiritually, emotionally, and physically depleted. Now, a decade later, Genna happily shares the healing benefits of this practice.
Genna has a never-ending passion for learning about all facets of the human body. A Forrest Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training graduate, as well as a 75 hour Poppy Perinatal Teacher, Genna has worked closely with some of the most senior yoga and movement teachers in this modern style. She is an intuitive bodyworker and has studied closely with the creatrix of Forrest Yoga, Ana Forrest.
Genna is influenced by many lineages and traditions. Her classes are intelligently sequenced, with a vigilant attention to breath and thoughtful, skilled hands on assists. Students of all levels will find a comfortable place for their mats in Genna’s class.
